RELEASE DATE 15th DECEMBER 2007

Welcome to the latest release of myworkspace ... please find below a summary of what's new!

Business Management

      
  1. Knowledgebases - this area has had a name change and is now called Network Groups to   reflect the future use of this area for more than just publishing documents   into knowledgebases.   
  2. Document alerts   - we have created the ability within a Network Group (knowledgebase) to send   automatic alerts to everyone within the Network Group when a linked document   is added or updated.   
  3. Emails - it is   now possible to save an email direct against a business without there having   to be a person associated to the business.   
  4. Birthday Report - the birthday report is available via the Birthdays link in the top   left hand corner of the Diary. It defaults to show just the birthdays for   today when you click there. You can, once in the Birthday Report, select to   see the birthdays by month (all months of the year), or for only a specified   period. Note: you can also access the Birthday Report via the Contacts page.   
  5. Bulk Emailing from Person Type Advanced Search - you can now send standard e-mail   templates from this area.   
  6. Website orders - when an order is placed online or a request for information is sent   through a website, the contact / opportunity record that is created has the   source of contact = 'Website'.   
  7. Products / Orders - Cost of Good Sold report has been modified to improve the   performance of the report.   
  8. Project Task Quick Search - you no longer need to know the full task reference to   perform a quick search for a project task. You can now put in part of the task   reference and if there are any matches (in records created within the last 90   days) it will show a list of them for you to select the relevant one.   
  9. Forgotton Your Password - we have modified this screen so as not to display your email and /   or mobile phone number. It now says that it will send your password via email   to the email address on your contact record.   
  10. News - you can   now select a Person Group to send email news to. Note: the person's contact   record must still have 'Send email News' = 'Yes'   
  11. Person Contact details - there is now an arrow icon to the right of the email and mobile   phone fields on the person contact details page. These arrows open up the send   email and send sms forms respectively. We have also removed the link to 'send   email' that was at the top of the person contact details page.   
  12. Events - you can now use HTML editing for the description   of your event as well as linking an image to the event. The image is displayed   on the website view as well as when an attendee accepts / declines the event   via their email invitation.

Accounting / Financials  
      
  1. Filtering for selecting invoices / expenses - now displays transactions allocated to child   areas (if any).   
  2. GST Type on Payment Records - When creating a line item on a payment for asset or   liability accounts, the GST Type field now defaults to GST Free - Exclude. An   exception is when the Capital field equals Yes, in which case the GST Type   should default to GST Applies.   
  3. Unpaid Invoices by Customer Report has been updated to reflect credit notes and   unallocated amounts to give the total amount owed by your customers.   
  4. Bank Reconciliations - you can now attach files to a bank reconciliation   (eg scanned statement). You are also forced to close off previous bank   reconciliations prior to starting a new one.   
  5. Automatic Alerts - you can now set up (on the Financials Profile Automation   tab) a new automatic alert that gets sent to System Administrators within the   business, showing current financial position of the business. As a first   inclusion in this weekly alert the GST Provision amount is sent out.   
  6. Payment of Employee Reimbursements - paying employee expense reimbursements via an ABA   file now looks at the employee's bank account details in their employee   record.   
  7. Adding line items to expenses / invoices - when you first   save an expense or an invoice, the line item window now automatically opens   for you.

Financial Services
      
  1. Loan Details - the loan details screen has had a revamp   and now uses tabs to organise all the details about a particular loan. The   Actions/Activities Summary tab shows you a list of the latest action in each   of the action types.

Coming very soon!
      
  1. We have found a replacement for the Document Editor tool (as our original   third party software vendor has still not been able to provide us with a   version that is compatible with Windows Vista). We we will be implementing   this early January.
